[ENG SUB] Healthy Idol Beauty Contest - T-ara, SECRET, 4Minute, Brown Eyed Girls.. ..

As a special for the  Lunar New Year, KBS hosted a ‘Healthy Idol Beauty Pageant,’ in which they will be assessing the health of various female kpop idols.

Rather than judging these girls simply by how beautiful they are, the Healthy Idol Beauty Pageant will take a look into their health conditions and provide advice on how they can take care of their bodies with a few simple tricks.

The female idols who chose to participate in this special were taken to the hospitals for physicals, where professionals examined their blood, skin, hair loss and larynx through tests such as x-rays. The next step of this examination will include having the strength of each of the girls tested through a competition.

The winner of this special will receive a gift for beating the rest in each of the following categories: skin, hair, s-line, muscles, spinal column, health quiz, cholesterol level and vocal cords.

Narsha of the Brown Eyed Girls, Rainbow’s Woori, Bora and Hyorin of SISTAR, Jiyeon and Hyomin of T-ara, Han Sunhwa of SECRET, 4Minute’s Sohyun, Kahi and Nana of After School, Kim Sook, Jang Youngran, Lee Jihye, Kim Joori and announcer Park Eunyoung will be participating in this Lunar New Year special.

Boo Hwal Kim Taewon's cancer brings Qualifying Men cast to tears

It has recently been revealed that Kim Tae Won of the legendary rock band, Boo Hwal, was diagnosed with stomach cancer. Official statements were not made purposefully on Kim’s agency’s part, but instead, the news was shown on next week’s preview of “The Qualifications of Man.”

As one of the specials on the show, the men had been tested for stomach cancer at the Samsung Seoul Hospital. It was during this segment that Kim Tae Won was diagnosed. Only after the preview was aired did Kim Tae Won express his feels at the time.

After the diagnosis, Kim underwent two surgeries to have the tumor removed, and after ten days in the hospital, was released on the 26th. Thankfully, however, the cancer was diagnosed when it was still in its initial stage. Therefore, if Kim recovers well, the two surgeries to remove the tumor should be sufficient in getting rid of the cancer altogether.

Representatives of the “Qualifications of Man” confirmed Kim’s condition on the 27th and stated, “The diagnosis came as a shock not only to Kim Tae Won, but also to his colleagues and staff of the show. After discussing in detail, Kim Tae Won decided to undergo surgery, and also decided to have the entire process broadcasted.”

It has also been rumored that because Kim Tae Won and his agency wanted to keep his condition undisclosed, Kim attended all his scheduled activities from the time he was diagnosed to until he underwent surgery, including Boo Hwal’s concert.

Both surgeries were deemed successful, and Kim Tae Won is currently recuperating.

We pray and hope for a speedy recovery for Kim Tae Won!

This episode of “Qualifications of Man” will be airing this episode on March 6th.

On this week’s episode of MBC’s “We Got Married”, the “Yongseo” couple took part in a goregeous wedding photoshoot, which got CNBLUE’s Yonghwa making comments about how proud he is of his beautiful “wife”.

The moment Yonghwa saw Seohyun enter in her elegant wedding dress and natural waves in her hair, he couldn’t stop his jaw from dropping. Even his fellow band members complimented her beauty, as they said, “She looks like a goddess.”

Idol Star Athletics & Swimming Championships” edited out segments

There had been controversy for weeks, over Rainbow’s 40-second segment on the original broadcast of MBC’s “Idol Star Athletics & Swimming Championships“. It was said that they've trained so hard, hours of practice but only seconds were aired. This was a waste of their hard work and it was not worth it.
However, Fans were soothed today as the girls’ full synchronized swimming segment finally aired on February 27th’s special broadcast.

Rainbow commented on their short segment with, “We thought it was a preview at first because it was so short. It was really disappointing, but we were more upset for the people who helped us train.”
Footage revealed the uncut and unedited synchronized swimming segment the girls prepared four months. Check it out below!

In addition, events which were cut out from the initial broadcast (co-ed 400m relay race, high jump event, etc) were also aired alongside some behind-the-scenes stories from idol participants.

MBC Star Audition "The great birth" Final 2

David Oh, a contestant from MBC’s ’The Birth of a Great Star‘, is being called the “the next John Park.”

David Oh especially had gained the ladies’ affection with his good looks.
Oh, who was criticized for wearing clothes that his mother picked out for him at the preliminary audition, evidently took more effort in his outfit this time around.

With talents, looks, and a better fashion sense, it seems like his charms weren’t lost on Japan’s Kwon Ri Sae. She was caught complimenting the American contestant with, “David Oh is so good-looking“; Oh had also mentioned that “Kwon Ri Sae is beautiful.”

Nichkhun Victoria We Got Married Ep 35 Eng Sub (WGM Khuntoria)

f(x)’s Victoria and 2PM’s Nichkhun recently confessed that they would both like to kiss, but they just haven’t been given the opportunity to yet.

On this week’s episode of MBC’s “We Got Married”, viewers were able to watch the behind-the-scene preparation for the couple’s dance at the “2010 MBC Gayo Daejun” that was broadcast a couple of months ago.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk made a special appearance in the episode to help the couple for their dance practice, but he was able to sneak in a few questions about the Khuntoria couple’s love  life.


Eunhyuk asked, “It’s been six months since your marriage, and you guys still haven’t kissed yet?”

Although the couple chose to not answer his question at first, the couple finally gave in to Eunhyuk’s persistence, as they answered, “We have thought about kissing, but we haven’t been given the opportunity to do it.”

To this, Eunhyuk replied, “That is because of the lack of effort in your marriage,” and even gave a short explanation on how to kiss.

Big Bang’s Seungri shared a woeful story of how he failed to get rid of his dark circles.

The February 22nd broadcast of SBS’s “Strong Heart” gathered some of Korea’s story-telling terminators, who all showcased their voluble wit.

As Seungri listened to Kim Dong Wan’s story about a time when SM Entertainment’s chairman, Lee Soo Man, ‘gifted’ him with a nose job, he was inspired to respond with his own plastic surgery tale.


Seungri confessed, “My agency wanted to give me a present, too. Because my dark circles are really severe, we went to a plastic surgeon, but the doctor said we couldn’t fix it.”

He added, “The cause of dark circles lies in the liver, sinus, and eyes – there is a total of three causes, but I have problems in all three areas.” In the end, after he received the diagnosis that his dark circles were incurable, he sadly went back home.

It is not only in Korea, the concerns of the Japanese fans about BIGBANG’s comeback is also tremendous since the group has already been away for 2 years and 3 months.

Only for the night of 21st , the total number of visitors to G Dragon’s Me2Day is 313924, Seungri has 200302 and Taeyang has 100315 which makes a total of 618220. For Youtube, G Dragon has a total of 223255 hits, Seungri has 103924 hits, and Taeyang has 42366 hits. A total of 369545 hits are recorded.
If we combine the number of visitors at Me2Day and Youtube together, the number will exceed 1 million. If the visitors of other sites which show their videos are counted too, the number will be even larger. On the night of 21st, Me2Day was even overloaded by the people who rushed to watch their teasers.

And at the same time, BIGBANG has also broken the record of ‘having the most visitors in 1 day- musicians’ in the Japan's Youtube channel. They have also claimed the 2nd spot for the ‘partners rank’. It proves that not only the fans of Korea are eager for their return but so do those in Japan.

On 21st, Taeyang has shared the 3rd teaser of BIGBANG’s comeback on his Me2Day. He wrote, ‘BIGBANG is BACK! TONIGHT’ and ‘3 days to go!’ which has excited the fans. In the video, we can feel the sexiness of Taeyang and he sang the line’ I am under the shining of the moonlight.’

The night before, Seungri also wrote ‘BIGBANG IS BACK!’ and ‘TONIGHT. 4 days to go.’ Together with the second teaser. When we are counting down for their comeback, they are going to reveal their comeback step by step which further arouse curiosity.

Following their release of the fourth mini-album, BIGBANG is going to hold concerts from 25th to 27th at Seoul Olympic Stadium. Moreover, On 27th, SBS will broadcast their ‘BIGBANG Comeback Show’ too.

[ENG SUB] Guerilla Date TVXQ

Fresh from their greatly anticipated kpop comeback, two-membered TVXQ recently shook up the streets of Korea as they participated in KBS‘s Guerilla Date.
Having one of the biggest fanclubs in all of Asia, it was natural that the streets became immediately crowded as soon as word got out of their appearance. Changmin and Yunho were able to share thoughts about their comeback album and were able to talk with some of their lucky fans who appeared to become speechless with their presence.

[ENG SUB] Yonghua and Seohyun We got married ep45, Wedding photoshoot

On the February 19th episode of MBC’s ‘We Got Married’, SNSD’s Seohyun and CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwawent to ski resorts together. Seohyun later mentioned to Yonghwa that she had a wish, and she then told him, “Become a wife for me“.
With that, Seohyun started putting makeup on Yonghwa, starting with doing his eyelashes and putting on mascara.  To top it off, she put a hair band on him.

Having met after time away due to their busy schedules, the couple was occupied with a dear feeling for one another. Before they watched the movie, Nichkhun went to buy the popcorn and drinks he would eat with Victoria.

On February 15th, TVXQ’s Yunho moved viewers on SBS’s “Strong Heart“ by revealing the story behind his characteristic ‘thumbs-up pose’.

He stated, “When I first came up from Gwangju, my father and grandfather disapproved of my trainee life severely. At one point, I lost all support from my home and was forced to sleep homeless at a subway station in Seoul.”


Yunho continued, “Right before I debuted, my grandfather passed away. I heard that his condition was bad while we were recording for our debut album, so I went back down to my hometown. My grandfather, who was always known to be quiet, gave me a thumbs up. That was the last image I have of him.”

“For three days, I cried night and day. And then I became determined – I will rise to the top one day and keep my promise to my grandfather. Only then would I let go all of the tears I held up inside of me. If you look closely, I have a lot of pictures of me with the thumbs up pose, and it’s because I never want to forget the promise I made with my grandfather.”

He concluded, “I hope to receive a lot of good awards at the year’s end, and cry to my heart’s content
